Welcome to the Great Commission Women of the Northeastern District Website

We are women of The Christian and Missionary Alliance who embrace The Alliance core values in our ministry.  We support our international workers serving around the world through prayer and sacrificial giving.  We also pray for our pastors and constituents throughout the Northeastern District as we serve each one of you.  Our mission is to Live the Word, Do the Work and Reach the World!

I don’t know about you, but I often long for more in my relationship with Christ – more depth, more desire to serve Him, and more filling of the Holy Spirit. So, I love the fact that our 2017-2018 theme is simply, more.  The theme verse is Isaiah 61:1. The word more is a gentle invitation to know Jesus and to know the comfort that comes from His presence, His word and His people. It’s an invitation to come inside the garden and learn more of God’s love and the hope that only He can provide.

Let’s dig deep into this theme, ladies, and let’s thirst for more of Jesus. I’m thankful to be able to serve each of you and am praying for the ladies’ ministries in each of your churches.

                                                                   Serving Him with You,

Our Theme Verse for 2017-2018

The Spirit of the Sovereign LORD is on me, because the LORD has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted,  to proclaim freedom for the captives release from darkness for the prisoners ~ Isaiah 61:1 (NIV)

Our 2017-2018 National Project

HUMAN TRAFFICKING SURVIVORS | CAMBODIA Our National Project for 2017-2018 will go to four key ministries dealing with the type of people mentioned in this verse – the poor, the broken hearted, the captives and the prisoners.

We will be raising money for

AT RISK GIRLS | WEST AFRICA

Hands of Honor provides literacy, health, and life-skills training to young women ages 12–19. As domestic workers, these at-risk girls live in strangers’ homes and are far away from their families.

PREGNANT TEENS | ECUADOR

Casa Elizabeth provides housing and resources for pregnant girls ages 11– 18. Most are pregnant because of abuse from relatives and are placed in Casa Elizabeth through child protective services.

HUMAN TRAFFICKING SURVIVORS | CAMBODIA

Agape International Missions (AIM) helps rescue, restore, and reintegrate survivors of sex trafficking. AIM Restoration Home gives 50 girls the opportunity to heal, learn new skills, and experience the love of Jesus in everyday life.

FEMALE PRISONERS | PHILIPPINES

InaInakay Center, Inc., helps women released from prison to find small apartments and temporary jobs. Inakay has invested in a muscovado sugar manufacturing business as one employment option for the women.
